I am like you. I’m a mother to boy/girl twins, I work full-time and I just turned 42! When I hit 30, I gained a lot of weight. And during that time I was going through a divorce at the same time my father passed away with lung cancer. I will never forget the day that I left the hospital to retrieve my kids from my now ex-husband only to go back to the hospital and watch my father die in front of my very eyes. I didn’t give up, although I felt like it. Since that time, I have cared for my Mother, who is now 82, through her stroke and two heart attacks. Though life was challenging and I struggled to find balance, I never gave up. I knew I wanted to live a life I could be proud of and accomplish my goals through this very formula. YOU can too!
Going back to gaining all this weight. Yes, it did happen and I was miserable. Instead of buying even bigger clothes, I decided to do the work and lose the weight…ALL OF IT! I remember countless times breaking down and crying, not seeing any results, putting in 110% effort. I got back up and tried harder. I woke up one morning and the weight was off, just like that. Weight loss is a process, and unfortunately one that takes time.
I knew this was my calling when a client of mine came up to me and said these very words, “I have been trying all my life to lose weight and I feel now that I’ve met you I can finally do it. It’s like having an on-call coach.” I left my corporate job and began Penny Seabolt Fitness to help you and others all over the world with nutrition advice, training advice and helping “YOU” achieve your weight loss goal no matter what.
PRO ATHLETE AT 39… why not?!?
Yes, indeed! After I lost the weight, I wanted another challenge. I tried competing in an amateur figure competition when I was 38, I went on stage and loved it! I placed 1st and decided to do it again. I went on to compete the following year, earning my pro card with the WNBF (World Natural Bodybuilding Federation).
There is nothing you can’t do in life.
It all starts by loving yourself.
